Membership Volunteer Opportunities

Join Us Today

Dear EMCC Members,

Planning is already underway for our 2026 Estrella Mountain Car Club Show (target date: April 2026), and we’re reaching out early to begin organizing our volunteer leads for the show’s key elements. While many of you have graciously helped over the past two years (thank you!), we’re also seeking new volunteers to step up and bring fresh energy to the team.

EMCC member, Bob Ness has taken the lead initiative to coordinate early planning. To get a head start and avoid any last-minute scrambles, we need volunteers to lead the following core areas of the show:

2026 Car Show Key Elements & Responsibilities

JUDGING  - Oversee scoring during the event. Be present during judging to ensure accuracy and completion of scoresheets.

CLEANUP - Coordinate trash disposal and make sure bins are available, and help tidy up at the end of the event.

SAFETY/TRAFFIC/PARKING - Arrive early to help with setup of cones and barricades. Direct incoming cars and monitor for safetythroughout the event.•

MARKETING/ADVERTISING - Help design or review flyers. Promote the show via social media, local outlets, as well show vendors &sponsorships and online calendars.

MERCHANDISE - Assist and follow up with design of show gear (t-shirts, mugs, etc.),.

REGISTRATION - Set up and monitor both online and in-person registration systems. Ensure smooth check-in on show day.

VENDORS/FOOD TRUCKS/MUSIC/DJ/MERCHANDISE - Coordinate / Communicate with Nancy Perry Productions Securing food trucks, entertainment, and handledistribution and sales during the event, ensure all vendors know where and when to arrive and set up.

Each lead will be responsible for planning their element in detail and recruiting team members to help carry it out.

Interested in leading one of these areas?

Please contact Bob Ness at robertjpness@gmail.com by Friday, August 1st and let him know which element you'd like to take charge of. Thanks again to all who have supported the show in the past — we couldn’t do it without you — and we look forward to seeing both returning and new faces join the planning team for another great event!

Beat Regards,

Bob Ness
