Events Director
Volunteer Needed

Jordan Rands has been doing double duty in the roles of Social Media Director and Events Director for the club. He has done an excellent job but his work schedule no longer allows him to participate in weekend activities and would like to hand off the Event duties.

Jordan will focus his time and attention on the club's social media needs.

If you have an interest in becoming more involved in the club take a look at the information below.

The Events Director is responsible for promoting club activities and provides information and guidance in the following areas:

Determine the number of club events held each month.

Plan/lead club events or enlist other members of the club to do so.

See that photos are taken to document events.

Participate in the club's executive meetings.

Club Picnic

Last year we had a great turnout and everyone had a wonderful time.  Hopefully we get back to normal weather for this time of year and we enjoy a beautiful day.  A lot of our members are doing a lot of planning and shopping to provide a great picnic, so please sign up on the website so we get a good headcount for planning purposes
.

We still need volunteers for various functions - set up, cooking, clean up etc.  We need everyone to participate to make the event a success.

While the club is providing burgers and hot dogs for the main dish and water and sodas, we are looking for folks to bring potluck items for sides etc.  Bill Owen is coordinating this so you can contact him at (562) 254-0989 or email at wmowen1@sbcglobal.net
as to what might be needed.

Alternatively, if anyone would like to donate/subsidize or contribute items we will also need like condiments, paper plates or towels, plastic ware, garbage bags or clean up supplies let us know so we can coordinate with the shoppers.

The picnic will be held on the grounds of CantaMia at the bandshell.  CantaMia is located at the south end of Estrella Pkwy, the main gate being just beyond Willis Rd.  If you need to use GPS, use the address of 17700 W, Star Point Dr., Goodyear 85338.  Anything else may send you to the wrong entrance.  Make sure you bring chairs, and pop up tents if you desire,  If you have any outdoor games (Jarts, Cornhole etc) bring them along.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS NEEDED

Set up team - Set up tables for potluck, set up shade structures, set up lawn games, set up coolers with ice and position banners.

Cooking team -
Rotate cooking responsibilities every half an hour, replenish ice and soft drinks, keep covers on food for protection from insects and stock, paper, plates, plastic, forks, etc.

Shopping team - Pre-picnic shopping and day of picnic shopping.

Potluck team - Bill & Nancy Owen are coordinating the potluck so please contact them by phone at (562) 254-0989 or email at wmowen1@sncglobal.net to ensure a variety of food.

Cleanup team - General cleanup after event, breakdown of tables, chairs, and shade structures, ensure all garbage is thrown away and the venue is left the way we found it.

Click here to register and/or volunteer for the Picnic.

Enthusiast Carbon Offset
(EOC) Program

If you are one of our more environmentally conscious members and are concerned about the contribution your classic or special interest vehicle is making to the world’s extreme weather issues,  all you have to do is plant a few trees.

Hagerty is introducing the Enthusiast Carbon Offset (ECO) program. Thanks to a partnership with Chrome Carbon, perhaps the only carbon reduction and reforestation program started by and for automotive enthusiasts, they’re offering car lovers the opportunity to easily calculate their carbon footprint and take tangible steps to help offset it.
